POEM:
LIKE-THE-PURE-WHITE-STAR-
SPARKLES-PETER-PAN
Whitebird shines like a star.
Ah nurse Wendy, there you are.
Tuck-in the poor hospital mites
while Peter shines like a pure-Christmas-light.

SONG LYRIC:
CONSPIRACY CLUB
The neon-light flashes up above
It's spelling out The Conspiracy Club
and every man-Jack a member there
is a-whispering from ear to ear
"Conspiracy, conspiracy
It's all around us, don't you see?
Against each other we must conspire
or let our opponents get the higher"
Behind every tree and shrub
find a member of The Conspiracy Club
Keep your ear to the ground
Big business does the little man down
"Conspiracy," etc
The neon-light etc
"Conspiracy," etc (twice)

SONG LYRIC:
FORTUNE KOOKY
The girl's a fortune kooky
She's mad about the bread
Yeah she's a fortune kooky
Money's gone to her head
The smell of fortune cookies
by the nose has her easily led
Can't you see the hungry look?
On fortune cookies the girl is hooked
Get those fortune cookies cooked
Get those fortune cookies cooked
Her granpa soldiered in the war
and lost his workhorse legs
Her grandma became a gypsy-type
who went round selling pegs
Her mother was a drunkard
who licked up all the dregs
Can't you? etc
The girl's etc
Can't you? etc

SONG LYRICS:
DOLLHOUSE
He's left behind his spouse
He's heading for the dollhouse
to wet his whiskers in the cream
of a wildcat dream
that isn't really what it seems
It's plastic don't y'know?
It's an artificial rose
Getting your snout wet
with the baby-doll set
That's what she cried to him
when his car he climbed on in
all ready to go start on
a chick built like Dolly Parton
now with marriage he had done
It's etc (twice)
He's left etc
It's etc (twice)
I learnt only recently that Dirty Pretty Things and the V1s came out of the band The Libertines whose working name was The Strand when I sent Pete Doherty lyrics and verses. a V1 and a U2 are in a lyric elsewhere on this vox, but here's the Dirty Pretty Things lyric I sent. Don't know if it's been used.
DIRTY PRETTY THINGS
Their mammas liked the Pretty Things
when they too were young
To the Beatles and the Stones
their pappas liked to hum
The kids formed a band
with their pals mucking in
and each of them became
a Dirty Pretty Thing
A Dirty Pretty Thing
Hear them play and sing
A Dirty Pretty Thing
Hear them play and sing
A title from a book
and a 60s grouping
Their mammas liked the Pretty Things
when they were young too
Their pappas liked to hum
to the Beatles and the Who
The kids formed a band
with their pals mucking in
and each of them became
a Dirty Pretty Thing
A Dirty etc
Repeat 1st verse
A Dirty etc (twice)

SONG LYRIC:
HANGIN' OUT
You're talking lord-and-ladyships
while I'm on the corner eating fish and chips
Butter wouldn't melt on those lips
With the uppercrust you've come to grips
You're up in the restaurant tower
on the table is a rose-flower
and in his hand a diamond ring
You always wanted everything
I knew you from round and about
You acted like a down and out
You walked the street with a ruby pout
Now with the knobs you're hanging out
You're up etc
You're talking etc
You're up etc (twice)
POEMS:
KNOW-IT-ALL-NATIONS
How many civllizations must come and go
before we reach that splendid place
we might call The-Land-Of-Know -
and knowing all about time and space
leave the planet earth below
being now a much-higher race?
A-MULTI-LIVED-MADAM-GIVES-
THE-GUYS-ALL-ROUND-THAI-LADY-TREATMENT
Find I lie in old-Siam
with my Pussy Massage Parlour madam
rubbing oil into my limbs
as with every Bob, Dick and lucky Jim.
A cat with nine-lives is this puss
whose powerful-paws treat me thus.
Stop your calling-out you ladyboys,
my tail comes-up at Madam Soy's.

POEM:
GLAD-EYED-GHOST-ON-ROBERT-BURNS'-NIGHT
If scotch was good for you
then Scotch is good for me.
Just look at you now, man,
you've become an industry.
You didn't make it to Jamaica,
did you poet Burns,
but here's to you Robbie,
and many happy returns!!
SONG LYRIC:
FAR-OUT FRENCH FANCIES
Go on Belle, let down your hair
Put on your sexy underwear
Your husband's bound to a wheelchair
and blind to any fantastical affair
Yes blind it seems
but he has his own dreams
He gets his kicks
out of playing tricks
and Belle you're his tricky-queen
His wheelchair is his throne
He likes being helplessly alone
while you're out playing games
that can earn a girl dirty names
Yes etc
Go on etc
Yes etc

SONG LYRIC:
SAD
Come the dark wintry nights
my baby turns on the blue lights
Autumn time is the border
to a seasonal adjustment disorder
And it's sad, it's sad
She's so melancholy, feels so bad
And it's sad, it's sad
She's so melancholy, feels so bad
I too need the sunny day
to chase all by blues away
I'm down, I'm down, I'm down
like a skeletal leaf on the ground
And it's etc
Come etc
And it's etc

SONG LYRIC:
ENTROPY
Beauty's in the eye of the beholder
Magic's in the wand of the holder
Cruel Mistress Life, I told her
"You're getting crueler, you're getting bolder"
Tsunami, tsunami
I'm a sail-boat captain
on a sail-boated sea
The waves are rising over me
Entropy, entropy
Beauty's in the eye of the beholder
Guess I've grown much too older
My eyes aren't what they used to be
Now here I am, all at sea
Tsunami etc
Repeat 1st verse
Tsunami etc (twice)
